New Liturgical Year!
Welcome to the new Liturgical Year (Cycle A) this weekend and also the beginning of the Advent Season! The Season of Advent is a four-week period of preparation and hopeful anticipation for the birth of Jesus Christ on Christmas Day. The Church urges us to take the beginning of the liturgical year as seriously as we take the new calendar year. Just as we do for the calendar year, we are encouraged to consider making Advent Resolutions at the beginning of Advent to help us stay awake and prepare for the coming of Christ
News! Church Building Project
I am so excited, as I’m sure we all are, to see our Church building rising up each day. The Building Committee has been working hard behind the scenes on a number of areas, especially the interior design and furnishing of the Church. At this point, we have locked-in the cost for several items within the Church and are finalizing the cost for the remaining few items.
On this note, I am glad to inform you that, beginning this weekend, we will be presenting to you some of the stained-glass window designs that will be in the Church. They will be projected on the screen before the weekend Masses. In the next few weeks , we will present you the storyboard with the stained glass, statues and other items and their cost, giving you and your family the opportunity to consider sponsoring/donating any specific item for the Church. We will also be announcing some funding opportunities in the weeks ahead.
