Congratulations to our St. John Bosco Class of 2025!
I congratulate the Class of 2025 as they graduate from our St. John Bosco Catholic School next week. I thank the students for their commitment and dedication to upholding the school’s mission and high academic standards throughout their stay at St. John Bosco. I thank the teachers, staff, parents, guardians, and the entire school community for their support of the Class of 2025 along their academic journey.
The school community held a “Clap Out” ceremony for the Class of 2025 at noon today. They will have their award dinner at the Foothills Country Club this evening and their graduation Mass will be held at 6:00 pm on Wednesday next week, here in our Church. Class of 2025, may God continue to bless and guide you as you move onto the next stage of your academic life.
Thank You For a Successful Parish Gala
I would like to thank everyone for a very successful parish Gala last weekend. My special thanks to the Gala Committee for their incredible teamwork, commitment, and the many hours they put into the planning for the event. Thanks to all who attended, our sponsors, businesses, and individuals who sent donations to support us. It was a joyful and memorable night shared with the St. Benedict community and friends of St. Benedict Church. I am glad to share with you that we raised a net proceeds of $13,562.50 from the Gala. The funds will be used to support our general operations and our mortgage payment.
Happy Mother’s Day
I wish all mothers, grandmothers, Godmothers, and Stepmothers a Happy Mother’s Day and God’s blessings! On this day, we thank our mothers, by birth or adoption, who have nurtured and supported us through life. I invite you and your family to come and join us at our weekend Masses as we pray for our mothers. A mother’s love is about the best image and reflection of God’s love and care for us. Today especially, we entrust all mothers and future mothers to the love and care of our Blessed Mother, that she will intercede for them before the throne of God.
Mark Your Calendar!
Please mark your calendar to attend the priestly ordination of our own Deacon Connor Companik at 10 am on June 7th at All Saints Catholic Church, Mesa, AZ. He will celebrate his Thanksgiving Mass for us here at St. Benedict parish at 9 am on Pentecost Sunday, June 8th. We will hold a reception for him after the Mass in the St. John Bosco Multipurpose Room. Please plan to attend the celebrations and remember to keep Deacon Connor in your prayers.
Habemus Papam
