Benediction and Stations of the Cross.
Please join us today in the Chapel at 5:50pm for the Benediction that will conclude our day of Adoration. You may choose to come earlier in order to spend some quiet time in adoration of Jesus in the Most Holy Eucharist before Benediction. To ensure that we do not rush the Vespers during the Benediction, we shall begin our Stations of the Cross today at 6:15pm instead of the usual 6pm. The stations in Spanish will be at the usual time of 7pm. Please join us at the Benediction, Stations of the Cross and for our lenten fish fry in Annex 3.
Marriage Ministry.
We intend to establish a Marriage preparatory ministry here at St Benedict. We hope that this ministry will attract committed parishioners who after training at the Diocesan chancery will help us with some aspects of marriage preparation and assist parishioners who need help with dispensations and nullity. We are requesting experienced couples who feel called to this ministry to contact Fr Emmanuel Ogla. May God grant grace to willing laborers to respond positively and generously to this urgent need of our parish.
Rummage sale, Rummage Sale!
Join us at St John Bosco multi-purpose room and courtyard tomorrow (Saturday 7th March) to participate in this year’s rummage sale. You may be blessed with pleasant surprises if you come early enough. The sale will be open between 7am and 1pm.

Les invitamos a unirse a nosotros hoy en la capilla a las 5:50 p. m. para la bendición que concluirá nuestro día de adoración. Pueden venir antes para pasar un rato tranquilo en adoración a Jesús en la Santísima Eucaristía antes de la bendición. Para asegurarnos de que no nos apresuramos en las vísperas durante la bendición, hoy comenzaremos nuestro Vía Crucis a las 6:15 p. m. en lugar de a las 6 p. m. como es habitual. Las estaciones en español serán a la hora habitual, las 7 p. m. Únanse a nosotros en la bendición, el Vía Crucis y nuestra fritura de pescado de Cuaresma en el Anexo 3.
Ministerio matrimonial.
Tenemos la intención de establecer un ministerio de preparación al matrimonio aquí en San Benito. Esperamos que este ministerio atraiga a feligreses comprometidos que, tras recibir formación en la cancillería diocesana, nos ayuden con algunos aspectos de la preparación al matrimonio y asistan a los feligreses que necesiten ayuda con dispensas y nulidades. Pedimos a las parejas con experiencia que se sientan llamadas a este ministerio que se pongan en contacto con el P. Emmanuel Ogla. Que Dios conceda la gracia a los trabajadores dispuestos a responder positiva y generosamente a esta urgente necesidad de nuestra parroquia.

Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament There is still time to spend time with Jesus Christ today at Adoration. Evening Prayers and Benediction begin at 5:50 pm. All are welcome to come by and spend some time with the Lord.
Charity & Development Appeal
Thank you to all who made their gift to the CDA. We have raised over $95,000 and have reached 95% of our parish goal! Remember that we receive 30% of the funds we raise above our goal. Jesus said, "Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven." (Matthew 5:16) Let your light shine and make a gift today here.
Stations of the Cross and Fish Dinner
This evening only, the Stations in English will start at 6:15 pm, after the Evening Prayers and Benediction. The fish dinner and Stations in Spanish will be at 6:30 pm and 7 pm, respectively. Please join us for a Fish Dinner in Annex 3 where you can get 2 pieces of fish, corn tortillas, coleslaw, chips, dessert and water for $10. All are welcome to observe the Stations and the Fish Dinner each Friday during Lent at St. Benedict. 
Rummage Sale
It's been called one of the largest in Ahwatukee! The St. Benedict Rummage Sale is a sight to behold! An incredible amount of new and gently-used items for sale at incredible prices! Mark it on your calendar to check it out!
When: Saturday, March 7 from 7 am to 1 pm.
Donation Drop-Off: The final ONE DAY drop-off is on Friday, March 6 between 9 am and 3 pm at the north gate at the school
Accepted: Household & kitchen items, home décor, clothing, shoes, purses/accessories, jewelry, small electronics, tools, garden items, pet supplies, sporting goods, furniture (good condition), toys, bikes, games, books, office/school supplies, linens.
Not Accepted: Ceiling fans, chandeliers, children's car seats, China hutches, dishwashers, entertainment centers (large or oversized), file cabinets, furniture with pet hair or pet stains, light fixtures, mattresses, particle board furniture of any kind (bookcases, bed frames, etc.), stained or broken furniture, stoves, tables with glass tops, and TVs (flat screens in working order are okay).

Family Promise Program
The Family Promise Program, since its inception in the year 2000, has helped hundreds of families, enabling them to move from homelessness to self-sufficiency. St. Benedict and St. John Bosco School help to host homeless families through this program by giving them a place to stay for a week while they are acquiring the tools and training they need to get back on their feet. Twice a year our community helps to make the hosting event a success.
The next opportunity to help is between Sunday, March 8 and Sunday, March 15, and a great number of volunteers are needed. Click here to volunteer or to find out more.
