Dear Brethren,
It is with mixed emotions that we bid farewell to the graduating Class of 2026 of St John Bosco Catholic School. While we are grateful to God for the time, life and faith they have so generously shared with us as a parish community, we are sure we will miss them a lot. This set of graduating students has excelled in faith activities, including but not limited to altar serving, lectoring and active participation at liturgical functions. We encourage them to keep on nourishing their relationship with Jesus as His faithful witnesses. On behalf of all of us at St Benedict, may I remind you that St Benedict will always be your parish and home, and we would be honored to serve God with you every time you come back here.
Congratulations and may you soar higher in all your future endeavors.
Happy Mothers’ Day!
This weekend is dedicated to the celebration of probably the most important people in our lives. It is practically impossible to adequately express how grateful we are for the blessing of motherhood. To most of us, our mothers are the first face of God’s mercy that we see. Mothers are often the first to introduce God to their beloved children. A mother’s life changes forever as soon as she has her first child. Our mothers continue to make selfless sacrifices for their children as they grow and live more comfortable lives. As we celebrate this Mother’s Day, let us remember to pray for mothers who have passed. May God reward them with eternal life - all mothers who have left this world. May He bless them with virtuous kindness all mothers and help us all to be grateful for their love and sacrifice. Happy Mother’s Day!
The Ascension of the Lord
Thursday this week would be forty days after Easter which, in many Dioceses, is celebrated as the Feast of the Ascension of the Lord. In the Diocese of Phoenix this feast is moved to the Sunday following Ascension Thursday to lend the feast the solemnity that Sunday holds. We shall therefore celebrate the Feast of the Ascension of the Lord on Sunday, May 17, 2026. We invite you to join us at any of our weekend Masses.
Please be kind and may God bless you.

Queridos hermanos,
