Dear friends,
On behalf of the Superior General of the Via Christi Society and all the Via Christi priests, I would like to express our gratitude to all parishioners of St Benedict Parish who supported the Via Christi Society with prayers and treasure last weekend during our mission support appeal. I am convinced that your support will help the Via Christi Society in fulfilling its Christ given mandate in no small measure. Know that wherever Via Christi priests are on mission, you are with them in spirit and our prayers will be with you wherever you are. We are waiting for the office of mission and advancement at the Diocese of Phoenix to inform us of what was generously donated so we can inform you. Please feel free to see me if you would want to participate in any measure in the training of our seminarians.
As you are well aware, this weekend is dedicated to the celebration of the solemnity of the Body and Blood of Our Lord Jesus Christ (Corpus Christi). Here at St Benedict, we plan to have a simple procession with four Stations after the 5pm mass on Sunday. Please plan to join us at our first Corpus Christi procession at St Benedict.
On Monday, June 8, the Vacation Bible School begins. Titled Rainforest Falls, Exploring the Nature of God, the week promises to be filled with Bible stories, music, art, activities and snacks. We thank Sr. Novie, Sr. Liza and their wonderful team of volunteers who have been working hard to ensure that all the participants and volunteers alike have a joyful and meaningful week. I ask you to join me in praying for a successful VBS and in thanking everyone who in any way supported VBS.
Please be kind and may God Bless You.

Queridos amigos:
